It includes sites in more than 50 languages and more than 90 different categories, which allows for a highly customized filtering policy. Additionally, it is updated every 24 hours. It also purges sites with broken links which is important in the case of phishing sites where the underlying IP addresses change frequently.

Websense Reporter is the tool for monitoring and measuring employee useage. Chose from more than 80 existing templates or utilize custom features. Either way, network administrators are able to detect activity that may be in violation of corporate security policies.

Websense Premium Group provide options that guard against high bandwidth useage. Choose among Productivity PG, Bandwidth PG and Security PG. 

Client Application Manager (CAM) is another add-on option that protects clients accessing the Internet. Typical activities that CAM guards against include peer-peer, IM and gaming sites. What is noteworthy is that CAM extends protection to the desktop.

WebCatcher is the method that Websense uses to capture unknown URLs and review/analyze them for appropriate content. It uses a combination of automated and human review.
